Lee Everett Mayfield
Julie and I cleared the timber from two of our fifteen acres to build our Texas house. We sawed over forty 80-foot pine trees into sections small enough to carry and toss into a pit where we burned them. Julie loaded most of them into the backhoe's front bucket while I ran the tractor. It's hard work.
Julie and me at the very first Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego, California, in 1993. It was a pleasant little 26-mile jaunt with a different SoCal rock and roll band at each mile marker. Wasn't easy, but we finished it. The framed award ribbons adorn our wall along with a ten dollar bill I carried in my pocket in case of emergency.
However, you have to be careful with elevated master streams in two story wood-frame construction. One thousand gallons of water every minute adds 8,330 pounds of weight, or about 250 TONS per hour.
This one is from the Scott Widby Collection. It is a gift made for his mother the first Christmas after he hired on with us in 1995.
